疑問詞 to V



疑問詞toは見落とされがちなのですが、実は疑問詞 主語 should Vのshould
の意味合いが含まれています。なので、習慣的なただの事実を表す時には使えません
ので注意が必要です。ただshouldが疑問詞以降に入ることが予想できる時はこの形
にすると英文が短くなるので便利です。

またwillなど未来形を省略する場合にもこのto V形を使います。ネイティブは文章を 短くする傾向があり、それがこの間接疑問文でのrto Vによる省略にもでていると いえるでしょう。

間接疑問詞 　　 howは「どうやって～か」と方法を表します。 How did you do? → how you did won’t you ～? 　　 「～してもらえない？」 Will you help me? 助けてもらえる？ Won’t you tell me? 助けてもらえない？ ＊will youとほぼ同じで、一辺倒になるのを避けるのに使います。
